Good and Evil. Their eternal battle.
But I still believe that Good has a bit of an edge.
The picture is to show that in every black there is a little white, that in every evil there is a little good and vice versa.
They're intertwined. They can't exist without each other.
Both of these elements are part of our lives.
But their balance is incredibly important and, most importantly, fragile.

This painting is one of my favourites. It started its story as a completely different painting. But in the course of its creation I stopped liking the direction it was going and changed the whole thing.
The painting expresses the balance of the world, our actions and that everything has a flip side and a face.
The message of this reworked painting is that nothing is to be given up and that even if one door may close, a new, often better one will open. And it's up to us to seize the opportunity.

Each of us is important for the functioning of the great machine of life. Without the individual, the whole cannot function. Everyone brings his or her indispensable role, we are each a small cog in a huge gear.

The dark blue and green tones are meant to express the depth in which we hide our secrets. As in the forest. And by forest is meant our mind, our soul.
