The painting was originally another painting that I repainted. The colours used in the original painting still shine through in places. The message I want to convey with this canvas is that we all started somewhere and we were once a different person than we are today. Even though we have transformed over the years into (hopefully) a better person, sometimes our ills, as well as the scars of the past, come to the surface in the present.
